CL Series VST Plugins are a set of two powerful and versatile compressors that can be used for mixing and mastering audio. They offer the following features:
- Two independent compressors that can work in parallel or serial mode.
- The CLMS-1 can be used as a Mid/Side or Left/Right Compressor, allowing you to adjust the stereo width and balance of your tracks.
- The CLMS-1 XL offers the option to control the Mid/Side parameters for both compressors separately, giving you more flexibility and precision.
- Stereo expansion feature that can enhance the stereo image and depth of your sound.
- Cross-over control that lets you split the signal into two frequency bands and apply different compression settings to each band.
- ADJUST FACTORS
Cutoff: This parameter determines the frequency at which the cross-over splits the signal. You can use it to isolate the low-end or high-end of your sound and apply different compression settings to each band.
- Compressed Channels: This parameter controls the amount of compression applied to the selected channels (Mid/Side or Left/Right). You can use it to reduce the dynamic range and increase the loudness of your sound.
- Attack: This parameter controls how fast the compressor reacts to the incoming signal. You can use it to preserve the transients and punch of your sound or smooth out the peaks and make it more consistent.
- Release: This parameter controls how fast the compressor releases the signal after it reaches the threshold. You can use it to avoid pumping and distortion or create a more natural and musical compression effect.
- Ratio: This parameter controls how much the signal is reduced once it exceeds the threshold. You can use it to apply a gentle or aggressive compression depending on your needs.
- Threshold: This parameter sets the level at which the compressor starts to reduce the signal. You can use it to adjust how much of your sound is affected by the compression.
- Make-up Gain: This parameter allows you to boost or attenuate the output level of the compressor. You can use it to compensate for any gain reduction caused by the compression or to match the perceived loudness of your sound.
