DataSpell is in beta and is not ready for commercial use. JetBrains says the IDE is still in preview mode and “presents significant risks of instability and unexpected behavior.” DataSpell is presented as a development version.
DataSpell is currently in beta and offers tools for writing and testing code. JetBrains is making available the first DataSpell beta for free to all registered users of the company’s Anaconda Python distribution.
“Building on our open source DataSpell language, we integrated Jupyter Notebooks on top of the DataSpell IDE.” data editors product manager Gabor Czink says in a statement on the JetBrains website. “We hope that DataSpell will help alleviate the pain of writing and reading Python code at the same time.”
The source code and issues for the DataSpell language are available on GitHub. The company is also accepting feature requests and bug reports .
