The Office 2010 VL Activation Tool is a set of scripts and tools that can help you configure and test volume activation of Office 2010 products. The tool includes the following components:
The Office Software Protection Platform script (ospp.vbs) enables you to install or uninstall product keys, activate products, display license information, set KMS host name and port, and remove KMS host name and port.
The Software License Manager script (slmgr.vbs) enables you to install or uninstall KMS host keys, activate a KMS host computer, display information about the KMS host computer, and perform other tasks related to KMS activation.
The Volume Activation Management Tool (VAMT) enables you to manage multiple computers, product keys, and activation statuses from a single console. You can also use VAMT to install product keys, activate products, check activation status, and generate reports.
The Office 2010 VL Activation Tool is located in the Program Files\\\\Microsoft Office\\\\Office14 folder. If you installed the 32-bit version of Office on a 64-bit operating system, go to the Program Files (x86)\\\\Microsoft Office\\\\Office14 folder.
How to Activate Office 2010 Products with KMS
To activate volume licensed versions of Office 2010 products with KMS, you need to have a KMS host computer that is configured to activate Office. You can download the Office 2010 Volume License Pack from the Microsoft Download Center: Office 2010 Volume License Pack.
To configure the KMS host computer to activate Office 2010 products, follow these steps:
On the KMS host computer, download and install the Office 2010 Volume License Pack.
