PFL Challenger Series: Week 2

PFL Challenger Series is an American mixed martial arts promotion. Young and up-and-coming male and female MMA prospects will compete for a slot in the PFL tournament season and a chance at $1 million. Each week, the PFL Challenger Series will consist of a celebrity guest panel featuring personalities in film, athletics, and music. Mike Tyson, along with NFL stars Ray Lewis and Todd Gurley, are just a few of the names who will decide who gets a shot in the league.[1][2][3]

PFL Challenger Series: Week 2

The celebrity panel this week consisted of an all-former fighter lineup of Paige VanZant, Tyron Woodley and Randy Couture. Their vote went to Montague, while the fans chose Leve. Ray Sefo served as the tiebreaking vote for the second week in a row, and he chose Leve as the winner of the PFL contract.

In the challenger series debut episode, Thad Jean defeated Eric Alequin via a unanimous decision to win the contract. The fans and a panel of judges decide the contract winner from the winning fighters. President of the PFL Ray Sefo is the tie-breaker if needed.

A week ago, Brahyan Zurcher (5-0 MMA) locked in a second-round submission to defeat David Evans (5-2 MMA.) The third time was the charm for Zurcher, who secured the guaranteed contract at featherweight.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the oddsmakers currently have Impa Kasanganay installed as a -400 favorite, with Osama Elsaidy countering as a +310 underdog. If you plan on betting on this or any other fight happening this weekend, please wager responsibly.

History teaches us that favorites win all the time in season 2 of the PFL Challenger Series. All four of them won last week. And the week before. And the week before that. In fact, only four underdogs have won in the 2023 series. 041b061a72
